(ORAL)\n<\/pre>\n<p>          Notice of motion.\n<\/p>\n<p>          Ms. Monica Chhibber Sharma, Assistant Advocate<\/p>\n<p>General, Punjab, accepts notice.\n<\/p>\n<p>          The   petitioner    seeks   a   mandamus   directing   the<\/p>\n<p>respondents to release the payment along with interest for the<\/p>\n<p>work executed by him.\n<\/p>\n<p>          The petitioner is a A-Class Government Contractor,<\/p>\n<p>who is stated to have executed the repair work of various minors<\/p>\n<p>of Canal Division of Abohar, allotted to him by the respondents,<\/p>\n<p>within the stipulated period and to the satisfaction of the<\/p>\n<p>authorities. However, the due payment is not being released to<\/p>\n<p>the petitioner, despite a legal notice dated 25.07.2008 (Annexure<\/p>\n<p>P-1) served upon the respondents.\n<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\"> C.W.P NO. 2121 OF 2009                            -2-<\/span><\/p>\n<p>           It appears that the petitioner is entitled to be paid<\/p>\n<p>certain dues on account of the work executed by him.
