Meena,\n                                          Deputy Director(Admn.))\n\nDate of Hearing:                          23\/10\/2008\n\nDate of Decision                          23\/10\/2008\n\nFACTS<\/pre>\n<p id=\"p_1\"> OF THE CASE:\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_1\">            By his letter of 18\/08\/2006, the Appellant had requested for<br \/>\ninformation basically on the following two points, namely, &#8211;\n<\/p>\n<blockquote id=\"blockquote_1\"><p>     (i)      whether Shri B.B. Thakur, Superintending Engineer (Vigilance),<br \/>\n              had contested an election for the post of Vice President of<br \/>\n              KVAOA and whether he had sought prior permission of the<br \/>\n              competent authority for this purpose; and\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote id=\"blockquote_1\"><p>     (ii)     whether said Shri Thakur had claimed any TA\/DA from CPWD for<br \/>\n              looking after the work of KVAOA Society, NOIDA, while he was<br \/>\n              posted at Siliguri.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p id=\"p_2\">2.          Shri R.P. Meena, Deputy Director(Admn.) by his letter dated<br \/>\n24\/10\/2007, had communicated the requisite information to the Appellant.<br \/>\nNot satisfied with this, the Appellant had filed an Appeal before the<br \/>\nAppellate Authority on 25\/10\/2007. Before the matter could be disposed of<br \/>\nby the AA, the Appellant filed the present Appeal before this commission.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_3\"> 3.     The matter was heard on 23\/10\/2008. The Appellant appeared in<br \/>\nperson.    CPWD was represented by Shri R.P. Meena, Deputy Director.<br \/>\nDuring the hearing, Shri Meena mentioned that the AA had also furnished<br \/>\nreply to the Appellant vide letter dated 27\/12\/2007 which is not denied by<br \/>\nthe Appellant.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_4\">4.     During the hearing, the Appellant submitted that he may be furnished<br \/>\na copy of the approval of the Competent Authority for allowing Shri Thakur<br \/>\nto contest the election and that he should be specifically informed as to<br \/>\nwhether Shri Thakur had claimed any TA\/DA from CPWD to look after the<br \/>\nwork of KVAOA Society, NOIDA.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_5\">                                    DECISION\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_6\">5.     The above mentioned two informations sought by the Appellant fall in<br \/>\npublic domain. Shri R.P. Meena, Deputy Director (Admn), is directed to<br \/>\nfurnish this information to the Appellant in four weeks time.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_7\">6.
