BASANT, J.\n\n           ````````````````````````````````````````````````````\n                   B.A. No. 1525 OF 2008 C\n           ````````````````````````````````````````````````````\n           Dated this the 11th day of March, 2008\n\n                             O R D E R\n<\/pre>\n<p id=\"p_1\">           Application for regular bail.         The petitioner faces<\/p>\n<p>allegations under the Kerala Abkari Act.            The petitioner was<\/p>\n<p>allegedly found to be in possession of 10 litres of arrack on<\/p>\n<p>30.1.08.   He was arrested on 18.2.08 and continues in<\/p>\n<p>custody from that date. The petitioner has four other cases<\/p>\n<p>under the Kerala Abkari Act registered against him, reports<\/p>\n<p>the learned Public Prosecutor.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_1\">     2.    The learned counsel for the petitioner prays, the<\/p>\n<p>learned Public Prosecutor does not oppose the said prayer on<\/p>\n<p>condition that the investigating officer is granted reasonable<\/p>\n<p>further time to complete the investigation and I am satisfied<\/p>\n<p>that regular bail can be granted to the petitioner subject to<\/p>\n<p>appropriate conditions.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_2\">     3.    In the result, this petition is allowed. The petitioner<\/p>\n<p>BA.1525\/08<br \/>\n<span class=\"hidden_text\" id=\"span_1\">                                : 2 :<\/span><\/p>\n<p>shall be enlarged on bail on the following terms and<\/p>\n<p>conditions:\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_3\">      i)   The petitioner shall not be released on bail on the<\/p>\n<p>strength of this order prior to 24.3.08. The investigators shall,<\/p>\n<p>in the meantime, make every endeavour to complete the<\/p>\n<p>investigation.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_4\">      ii)  He shall execute a bond for Rs.1,00,000\/- (Rupees<\/p>\n<p>one lakh only) with two solvent sureties each for the like sum<\/p>\n<p>to the satisfaction of the learned Magistrate.<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_5\">      iii) The petitioner shall make himself available for<\/p>\n<p>interrogation before the investigating officer between 10 a.m<\/p>\n<p>and 12 noon on all Mondays and Fridays for a period of two<\/p>\n<p>months from the date of his release and thereafter as and<\/p>\n<p>when directed by the investigating officer in writing to do so.<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_6\">                                           (R.BASANT, JUDGE)<br \/>\naks<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kerala High Court P.K.Gopi vs State Of Kerala on 11 March, 2008 IN THE HIGH COURT OF KERALA AT ERNAKULAM Bail Appl No. 1525 of 2008() 1.
