(ORAL)<\/p>\n<p>             We have heard Mr. Rupinder Khosla, learned counsel<\/p>\n<p>appearing for the respondents and perused the affidavit in reply filed by<\/p>\n<p>the Principal Secretary, Govt. of Punjab, Department of Transport. We<\/p>\n<p>have also noted the decisions rendered by the Hon&#8217;ble Supreme Court in<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Union of India v. Tulsi Ram Patel&#8217; 1985 (2) SLR 576 and &#8216;Divisional<\/p>\n<p>Personnel Officer and others v. T.R. Chellapan&#8217; 1976 (3) SCC 190 and<\/p>\n<p>by this Court in &#8216;Kaur Singh and others v. Punjab State Electricity<br \/>\n<span class=\"hidden_text\" id=\"span_1\"> Civil Writ Petition No. 14537 of 2008                                      2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Board and others&#8217; 2007 (4) RSJ 780 and &#8216;<a href=\"\/doc\/1488449\/\" id=\"a_1\">Hans Raj v. State of Punjab<\/a>&#8216;<\/p>\n<p>2001 (4) RSJ 661.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_3\">\n<p id=\"p_4\">              In the light of the legal position settled in the above decisions,<\/p>\n<p>we are of the view that there is no compelling need for us to issue any<\/p>\n<p>direction in the present petition in public interest.<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_5\">              With these observations, present petition is disposed of.<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_6\">                                                  [T.
