K.M.JOSEPH,J<\/p>\n
      The petitioners are the parents of one Gangadevi, who died<\/p>\n
in suspicious circumstances, at the residence of her husband, the<\/p>\n
5th respondent. Three children were born in the wedlock of their<\/p>\n
deceased daughter. The complaint in the writ petition is that the<\/p>\n
petitioners  are    being      harassed         by     the   police officers.<\/p>\n
Investigation into the matter is not being done correctly and<\/p>\n
properly. Hence the petitioners approached this Court seeking<\/p>\n
the following reliefs:\n<\/p>\n
                 i)    issue a writ of mandamus directing<\/p>\n
           the 1st respondent to act upon Ext.P1 complaint<\/p>\n
           and take appropriate action against respondents<\/p>\n
           2 to 4 for the lapse on their part in investigation<\/p>\n
           on the death of the petitioner’s daughter –<\/p>\n
           S.Gangadevi on suspicious circumstances.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
                 ii)   issue a writ of mandamus directing<\/p>\n
           respondents 2 to 4 not to harass the petitioners<\/p>\n
           on the basis of complaints filed by the 5th<\/p>\n
           respondent.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
      2.   Adv.Sri.B.H.Mansoor appears for the 5th respondent.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

      3.     As far as the 1st prayer is concerned, we would think<\/p>\n
that the petitioners may have to approach the appropriate<\/p>\n
court\/forum.       No doubt, a counter affidavit is filed.     The<\/p>\n
petitioners, of course, seek time to file reply affidavit. Since we<\/p>\n
are not pronouncing on the merits of the allegations made by the<\/p>\n
parties, we do not deem it necessary to grant time.<\/p>\n
      4.     The learned Government Pleader would submit that a<\/p>\n
suicide note was allegedly left behind by the deceased daughter<\/p>\n
of the petitioners tending to implicate the petitioners and her<\/p>\n
brother. The learned Government Pleader would submit that all<\/p>\n
that is being done is the investigation of the matter and there<\/p>\n
would be no harassment of the petitioners.\n<\/p>\n
      5.     We record the submission made by the learned<\/p>\n
Government Pleader and leave open the 1st prayer so that it is<\/p>\n
open to the petitioner to seek remedy in the appropriate forum.<\/p>\n
      6.     This writ petition is disposed of as above.<\/p>\n
