(ORAL).\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_1\">            Petitioner filed this writ petition with a prayer to provide him<\/p>\n<p>police protection.   It was averment of the petitioner that respondent<\/p>\n<p>No.5, in connivance with other respondents, is harming his interest,<\/p>\n<p>despite Civil Court decrees in his favour.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_2\">            Vide order dated 09.06.2008, Senior Superintendent of<\/p>\n<p>Police, Moga was directed to provide police protection to the petitioner,<\/p>\n<p>as and when any request is made in that regard.<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_3\">            At the time of arguments, it was brought to the notice of this<\/p>\n<p>Court that, in the meantime, petitioner had died. If that is so, this writ<\/p>\n<p>petition has become infructuous.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_4\">            However, it is made clear that legal heirs of the deceased,<\/p>\n<p>if they apprehend any danger, shall have an independent right to raise<\/p>\n<p>their grievance before the authorities concerned.<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_5\">            Disposed of.<\/p>\n<pre id=\"pre_1\">\n\n\n\nJuly 20, 2009.
