Justice P.N.RAVINDRAN\n\n Dated :22\/01\/2008\n\n O R D E R\n                    K.BALAKRISHNAN NAIR &amp; P.N.RAVINDRAN,JJ.\n\n                      ==================================\n\n                      ORIGINAL PETITION  NO.14003   OF 2001\n\n                      ==================================\n\n                        Dated this the 22nd   day of January 2008\n\n\n                                     JUDGMENT\n<\/pre>\n<p id=\"p_1\">   Balakris<br \/>\n               hnan Nair,<br \/>\n                          J.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_1\">        The petitioners   are the respondents 1 to 4 and 10 and 11<\/p>\n<p>in   O.A.129\/2000.   The   second   respondent   was   a   candidate   for<\/p>\n<p>selection   to   the   category   of   Extra   Departmental   Branch   Post<\/p>\n<p>Master.   Feeling   aggrieved   by   her   non-selection,   the   O.A.   was<\/p>\n<p>filed.   The   CAT   allowed   the   O.A.   This   writ   petition   is   filed<\/p>\n<p>challenging   the   said   order   of   the   CAT.   Since   this   Court   did   not<\/p>\n<p>grant any stay and when confronted with contempt proceedings,<\/p>\n<p>the applicant was appointed pursuant to the direction of the CAT<\/p>\n<p>as Postal Assistant. Now about 7 years are over. We feel that at<\/p>\n<p>this distance of time, it is not just or proper to interfere with her<\/p>\n<p>appointment   based   on   the   technical   contentions   raised   by   the<\/p>\n<p>writ petitioners against the powers of the CAT in interfering with<\/p>\n<p>the matter.\n<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\" id=\"span_1\">O.P.14003\/2001                                      2<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"p_2\">         2.    Therefore, we close the writ petition, without prejudice<\/p>\n<p>to the contentions of the writ petitioners.
