Whether the judgment should be reported in the Digest?  .\n                                 *****\n<\/pre>\n<p id=\"p_1\">Present:     None for the parties.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_1\">Vijender Jain,Chief Justice<\/p>\n<p>            This petition has been filed under the <a href=\"\/doc\/1396751\/\" id=\"a_1\">Contempt of Courts Act<\/a><\/p>\n<p>by Mullanpur Garibdass Coop. Choe Reclamation Society praying for<\/p>\n<p>initiation of action against the official and private respondents for violation<\/p>\n<p>of the interim order dated 21.3.2006 passed by this Court in LPA No.972 of<\/p>\n<p>2002.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_2\">            The matter has been placed before us because of the order dated<\/p>\n<p>12.3.2007 passed by the learned Single Judge ordering the present contempt<\/p>\n<p>petition to be taken up along with LPA No.972 of 2002.<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_3\">            For ready reference, the operative part of the aforesaid order<\/p>\n<p>dated 21.3.2006 is reproduced as under:\n<\/p>\n<pre id=\"pre_1\">                     COCP No.1727\/2006 in                              #2#\n                     LPA No. 972 of 2002\n<\/pre>\n<p id=\"p_4\">               &#8220;In the meanwhile, till further orders, we direct that the<br \/>\n               respondents shall not alienate or change the nature of the<br \/>\n               property in dispute.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_5\">            The present petition has been filed by the petitioners, who were<\/p>\n<p>respondents in LPA No.972 of 2002 and a perusal of order dated 21.3.2006<\/p>\n<p>discloses that the direction was for the petitioner-Society not to alienate or<\/p>\n<p>change the nature of the property in dispute whereas in the present contempt<\/p>\n<p>petition, effort has been made to show that certain government officials and<\/p>\n<p>other residents of the village are lifting sand from the land in dispute and,<\/p>\n<p>therefore violating the interim order dated 21.3.2006 passed by this Court in<\/p>\n<p>LPA No.972 of 2002.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_6\">            In view of the decision in the main LPA No.972 of 2002, no<\/p>\n<p>further orders are required and, therefore, contempt petition stands disposed<\/p>\n<p>of.<\/p>\n<pre id=\"pre_2\">\n\n                                             (VIJENDER JAIN)\n                                              CHIEF JUSTICE\n\n\n\nJuly 15,2008                                 (JASWANT SINGH)\njoshi                                            JUDGE\n <\/pre>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Punjab-Haryana High Court The Mullanpur Garibdass Coop. &#8230; vs Nachhattar Singh And Others on 15 July, 2008 IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT CHANDIGARH.
