NO. 843 OF 2007\n\n                 =================================\n\n                 Dated this the 28th day of February 2007\n\n\n\n\n                                      O R D E R\n<\/pre>\n<p id=\"p_1\">       The   revision   petitioner   who   had   filed   an   appeal   over   the<\/p>\n<p>conviction under <a href=\"\/doc\/1823824\/\" id=\"a_1\">section 138<\/a> of the Negotiable Instruments Act stands<\/p>\n<p>dismissed as the delay petition stood dismissed.   It is submitted that<\/p>\n<p>the   revision   petitioner   could   not   comply   with   the   order   of   the   court<\/p>\n<p>below to deposit a portion  of the  cheque.   In the circumstances, the<\/p>\n<p>revision   petitioner   is   directed   to   deposit   50   per   cent   of   the   amount<\/p>\n<p>ordered   to   be   paid   as   compensation   within   one   month   from   today<\/p>\n<p>onwards before Judicial First Class Magistrate-I, Kochi.   The appellate<\/p>\n<p>court,   on   deposit   of   the   amount,   shall   consider   the   application   for<\/p>\n<p>condonation of delay and dispose of the same on merit.<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_1\">       The Criminal Revision Petition is disposed of accordingly.<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_2\">                                                K.R.
