{"id":255213,"date":"2001-03-02T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2001-03-01T18:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.legalindia.com\/judgments\/reported-the-message-received-from-the-secretary-rajya-sabha-on-2-march-2001"},"modified":"2018-07-19T00:58:32","modified_gmt":"2018-07-18T19:28:32","slug":"reported-the-message-received-from-the-secretary-rajya-sabha-on-2-march-2001","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.legalindia.com\/judgments\/reported-the-message-received-from-the-secretary-rajya-sabha-on-2-march-2001","title":{"rendered":"Reported The Message Received From The Secretary, Rajya Sabha &#8230; on 2 March, 2001"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"docsource_main\">Lok Sabha Debates<\/div>\n<div class=\"doc_title\">Reported The Message Received From The Secretary, Rajya Sabha &#8230; on 2 March, 2001<\/div>\n<p id=\"p_1\"> 12.02 hrs. <\/p>\n<p>Title : Reported the message received from the Secretary, Rajya Sabha regarding Rajya Sabha\u00e2\u0080\u0099s adoption of the motion relating to the Committee on the Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribs at its sitting held on 22nd December 2000 and also the nomination of Shri Ram Nath Kovind, Member, Rajya Sabha, to the Committee.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_1\">SECRETARY-GENERAL: Sir, I have to report the following message received from the Secretary-General of Rajya Sabha:-\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_2\">`I am directed to inform the Lok Sabha that the Rajya Sabha at its sitting held on Friday the 22nd December, 2000 adopted the following motion in regard to the Committee on the Welfare of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes:-\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_3\">&#8220;That this House concurs in the recommendation of the Lok Sabha that the Rajya Sabha do agree to nominate one Member from Rajya Sabha to associate with the Committee on the Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes of the House for the unexpired portion of the term of the Committee vice Chaudhary Chunni Lal, died and resolves that the House do proceed to elect, in accordance with the system of proportional representation by means of single transferable vote, one Member from among the Members of the House to serve on the said Committee&#8221;.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p id=\"p_4\">\u00a0I am further to inform the Lok Sabha that in pursuance of the above motion, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, Member, Rajya Sabha has been duly elected to the said Committee.&#8221;<br \/>\n\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_5\">\u00a0&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lok Sabha Debates Reported The Message Received From The Secretary, Rajya Sabha &#8230; on 2 March, 2001 12.02 hrs.
