RAMKUMAR, J.\n                   .........................................\n                          B.A. No. 6994 of 2010\n                   ..........................................\n              Dated this the 15th day of November, 2010.\n                                    ORDER\n<\/pre>\n<p id=\"p_1\">      Petitioner who is the 2nd accused in Crime No. 1309 of 2010 of<\/p>\n<p>Changanassery Police Station for an offence punishable under <a href=\"\/doc\/158335608\/\" id=\"a_1\">Section 3<\/a><\/p>\n<p>of the Essential Commodities Act, seeks anticipatory bail.<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_1\">      2.     The learned Public Prosecutor opposed the application.<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_2\">      3.     Anticipatory bail cannot be granted in a case of this nature.<\/p>\n<p>But at the same time, I am inclined to permit the petitioner to surrender<\/p>\n<p>before the Investigating Officer for the purpose of interrogation and then<\/p>\n<p>to have his application for bail considered by the Magistrate      having<\/p>\n<p>jurisdiction.  Accordingly, the petitioner shall surrender before the<\/p>\n<p>investigating officer on 26.11.2010 or on 27.11.2010 for the purpose<\/p>\n<p>of interrogation and recovery of incriminating material, if any.
