JUSTICE JYOTI SARAN\n\n                    ORAL ORDER<\/pre>\n<p id=\"p_1\">                    (Per: HONOURABLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE)<\/p>\n<p>2   31\/8\/2010                This petition is filed by Mr. Arvind Kumar<br \/>\n                 Sharma, a practising advocate in this court, in public<br \/>\n                 interest.   The petition is filed against     the Advocate<br \/>\n                 General, the Additional Advocate General and the other<br \/>\n                 Law Officers of the Government.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_1\">                             It is the complaint of the petitioner that<br \/>\n<span class=\"hidden_text\" id=\"span_1\">                             2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>         though those Law Officers are paid remuneration by<br \/>\n         the State Government to represent the State Government<br \/>\n         in the High Court, they do accept       brief from other<br \/>\n         Government Corporations and        Boards      which are<br \/>\n         &#8216;State&#8217; within the meaning        of <a href=\"\/doc\/609139\/\" id=\"a_1\">Article 12<\/a> of the<br \/>\n         Constitution and also charge fees. Such action of the<br \/>\n         learned Law Officers in accepting the brief from<br \/>\n         Government Corporations and Boards and charging fees<br \/>\n         is contrary to the provisions of the <a href=\"\/doc\/1331755\/\" id=\"a_1\">Prevention of<br \/>\n         Corruption Act<\/a>, 1988 and is misappropriation of the tax<br \/>\n         payers&#8217; money.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_2\">                    The petition is thoroughly misconceived.<br \/>\n         There cannot be any direction against any advocate<br \/>\n         accepting a brief from a client and charging fees. In case<br \/>\n         there is a complaint of professional misconduct the<br \/>\n         appropriate forum to complain would be the Bar<br \/>\n         Council.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_3\">                    We see no substance in the complaint made by<br \/>\n         the petitioner.   To us, it appears that the petition is<br \/>\n         actuated by some personal vendetta.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_4\">                    The petition is, accordingly, dismissed in<br \/>\n         limine. The petitioner will pay cost of Rs.5000\/-. The<br \/>\n         amount of cost will be deposited in the Registry of this<br \/>\n         court within one week from today. The compliance<br \/>\n         will be reported to the court.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_5\">                                  ( R. M.
