No. 507 of 2008\n               ==========================\n               Dated this the 4th day of January, 2008.\n\n                              JUDGMENT\n<\/pre>\n<p id=\"p_1\">      The petitioner, who is the sole accused in crime No. 11\/1996 of<\/p>\n<p>VACB, Kollam for offences under Section 13(1)(d) and punishable<\/p>\n<p>under <a href=\"\/doc\/1259316\/\" id=\"a_1\">Section 13(2)<\/a> of the Prevention of Corruption Act r\/w <a href=\"\/doc\/1128948\/\" id=\"a_2\">Section<\/p>\n<p>120<\/a> B of IPC, seeks a direction directing the Deputy Superintendent of<\/p>\n<p>Police, Vigilance Department, Pathanamthitta to reconsider the<\/p>\n<p>allegations against the petitioner and decide whether to place the<\/p>\n<p>petitioner on trial or not by filing an appropriate report pursuant to<\/p>\n<p>Ext.P1 FIR.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_1\">      2. Shri. P.N. Sukumaran, the learned Government Pleader in<\/p>\n<p>charge of the case submitted that the delay in filing the final report is<\/p>\n<p>due to pendency of the application seeking prosecution sanction in<\/p>\n<p>respect of two of the accused persons who are public servants and that<\/p>\n<p>as soon as the sanction is obtained the final report will be filed without<\/p>\n<p>any further delay.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_2\">      This writ petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to<\/p>\n<p>expedite the filing of the final report after evaluating the evidence<\/p>\n<p>collected during investigation.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_3\">\n<p id=\"p_4\">                                         V.
