Writ petition was preferred by the petitioner<\/p>\n<p>seeking a writ of mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to report<\/p>\n<p>628 substantive vacancies of Sub Inspector of Police (General<\/p>\n<p>Executive Branch) (Trainee) due to the PSC hands forthwith.<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_1\">     2. Counsel appearing for the appellant placed reliance on<\/p>\n<p>Ext.P8 communication received from the Right to <a href=\"\/doc\/1965344\/\" id=\"a_1\">Information Act<\/a><\/p>\n<p>by which he was informed that 254 vacancies are available to the<\/p>\n<p>post of Sub Inspectors in General Executive Branch.                                   Learned<\/p>\n<p>counsel appearing for the appellant also referred to paragraph 5<\/p>\n<p>of the counter affidavit filed by the second respondent wherein it<\/p>\n<p>has been stated that 230 vacancies were reported to PSC as on<\/p>\n<p>23.11.2004. Counsel therefore submits the reliance can be placed<\/p>\n<p>on Ext.P8.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_2\">W.A.No.2243 OF 2007<br \/>\n                               :: 2 ::\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_3\">\n<p id=\"p_4\">    3. We find it unnecessary to pronounce upon this fact finally<\/p>\n<p>since the writ petition itself is pending consideration before the<\/p>\n<p>Learned Single Judge.
