No. 2595 of 2005\n                =====================\n             Dated this the 11th day of April, 2008\n\n                               ORDER\n<\/pre>\n<p id=\"p_1\">      The accused in C.C.No. 265 of 2000 on the file        of the<\/p>\n<p>Judicial First Class Magistrate-I, Ernakulam for an offence<\/p>\n<p>punishable under <a href=\"\/doc\/1823824\/\" id=\"a_1\">Section 138<\/a> of the Negotiable Instruments Act,<\/p>\n<p>1881, challenges the conviction entered and the sentence passed<\/p>\n<p>against him concurrently by the courts below.<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_1\">      2.   Pending this revision, the parties have settled the<\/p>\n<p>matter. Crl.M.A.No. 3562 of 2008 has been filed under <a href=\"\/doc\/177946336\/\" id=\"a_1\">Section<\/p>\n<p>147<\/a> of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 seeking permission<\/p>\n<p>to record the    composition entered into    between the revision<\/p>\n<p>petitioner and the complainant.        The said petition has been<\/p>\n<p>signed by both the revision petitioner as well as the complainant<\/p>\n<p>and their respective counsels. In the light of this development,<\/p>\n<p>the aforementioned composition is recorded and it will have the<\/p>\n<p>effect of an acquittal of the revision       petitioner within the<\/p>\n<p>meaning of Sec. 320 (8) <a href=\"\/doc\/445276\/\" id=\"a_2\">Cr.P.C<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_2\">      This Crl.
