Petitioner was convicted for the offence<\/p>\n<p>under <a href=\"\/doc\/1823824\/\" id=\"a_1\">Section 138<\/a> of N.I.Act.             The conviction was confirmed by<\/p>\n<p>Sessions Court, Ernakulam in Crl.A.518 of 2007. Revision petition is<\/p>\n<p>filed challenging the conviction.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_1\">    2. Second respondent complainant, along with revision petitioner<\/p>\n<p>filed Crl.M.A.10787 of 2008, an application under <a href=\"\/doc\/177946336\/\" id=\"a_1\">Section 147<\/a> of<\/p>\n<p>Negotiable Instruments Act, seeking permission to compound the<\/p>\n<p>offence, stating that they have settled the dispute and they may be<\/p>\n<p>permitted to compound the offence. As the petition is filed by second<\/p>\n<p>respondent along with revision petitioner, it is allowed. Permission<\/p>\n<p>granted to compound the offence.
