VENKATESH NAIK <\/a>(<a class=\"marker_ref\" href=\"\/search\/?formInput=RAICHUR\">RAICHUR<\/a>): Most of the Central Government Employees Association have started nation-wide agitations demanding the Government of India to set up the Sixth Pay Commission to revise the pay scales and emoluments to the Central Government employees.\u00a0 Employees of Government of Karnataka are also making the same demand for the last three years.\u00a0 The Fifty Pay Commission was set up 15 years ago and its recommendations came into effect from 1.1.1996.\u00a0 The prices of all commodities have gone up to a very large extent.\u00a0 Government employees are finding it difficult to make both ends meet.\u00a0 There is sharp increase in the inflation rates.\u00a0 Tax burden along with VAT is squeezing life of middle class and Government employees.\u00a0 If this genuine demand is not agreed to by the Government of India it may lead to violent demonstrations which may obstruct the working in various offices and organisations all over the country.\u00a0 It is true that some recommendations like Second Assured Career Progression (2nd ACP) has not been implemented by most of the Ministries except Home Ministry till today.\u00a0 But, demand for setting up 6th Pay Commission is valid and I urge upon the Hon\u2019ble Minister of Finance to set up 6th Pay Commission immediately.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0  <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0  <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lok Sabha Debates Need To Set Up 6 Th Pay Commission For Revision Of Pay Scales And &#8230; on 8 August, 2005 &gt; Title : Need to set up 6th Pay commission for revision of pay scales and emoluments of Central Government employees . \u00a0 \u00a0 SHRI A.
