Therefore,<br \/>\n\tsuch powers can be assigned to such officer not below the rank of<br \/>\n\tthe Secretary, but he has also to be the Secretary of any department<br \/>\n\tof the State Government, and it may not be permissible for the State<br \/>\n\tGovernment to designate other officer, who is not working as the<br \/>\n\tsecretary of any department of the State Government. The officer,<br \/>\n\twho is so authorised is Managing Director of Gujarat Tourism<br \/>\n\tDevelopment Corporation, and though may be of the rank of Secretary,<br \/>\n\tbut as is not the Secretary of any department of State Government,<br \/>\n\tthe same may not be permissible.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_1\">Ms.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_2\">\tHansa Punani learned AGP seeks time to inquire from the State<br \/>\n\tGovernment as to whether the State Government is desirous to<br \/>\n\tdesignate any officer, who is Secretary in any department of the<br \/>\n\tState Government or not.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_3\">S.O.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_4\">\tto 15.7.2008. Office to supply the copy of the order to the<br \/>\n\tlearned AGP.
