Justice ANTONY DOMINIC\n\n Dated :27\/09\/2007\n\n O R D E R\n                      ANTONY DOMINIC, J.\n                     ===============\n                  W.P.(C) NO. 28632 OF 2007\n                 ====================\n\n         Dated this the 27th day of September, 2007\n\n                         J U D G M E N T\n<\/pre>\n<p id=\"p_1\">      Aggrieved by Ext.P1 series of assessment orders under the<\/p>\n<p>Kerala Tax on Luxuries Act, petitioner has filed Ext.P2 series of<\/p>\n<p>appeals and Ext.P3 series of stay petitions. His grievance is that<\/p>\n<p>during the pendency of the appeals and stay petitions, revenue<\/p>\n<p>recovery action has been initiated by Ext.P4, for realising the<\/p>\n<p>disputed tax of Rs.99,581\/-.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_1\">      2.   Heard the learned Government Pleader also.<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_2\">      3.   In view of the pendency of the appeals and the stay<\/p>\n<p>petitions, it is only appropriate that before recovery is allowed,<\/p>\n<p>the dispute is given a finality.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_3\">      4.   Accordingly, I dispose of this writ petition directing<\/p>\n<p>that the 1st respondent shall hear and dispose of Ext.P2 series of<\/p>\n<p>appeals, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate within a period<\/p>\n<p>of two months of receipt of a copy of this judgment.<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_4\">      5.
