BASANT, J.\n\n              -------------------------------------------------\n\n                      CRL.M.C.NO. 506 OF 2007\n\n              -------------------------------------------------\n\n              Dated this the 21st day of March, 2007\n\n\n                                   ORDER\n<\/pre>\n<p id=\"p_1\">      The petitioners have come to this Court with the prayer<\/p>\n<p>that  an  F.I.R. registered against him i.e., Crime No.223\/06 of<\/p>\n<p>the   Nadakkavu   Police   Station,   may   be   quashed.       The   said<\/p>\n<p>crime has been registered on the basis of a private complaint<\/p>\n<p>filed   by   one   of   the   employees   of   the   petitioners.       The<\/p>\n<p>complaint  was  referred to the police  under  Sec.156(3) of the<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/doc\/445276\/\" id=\"a_1\">Cr.P.C<\/a>.   Investigation is in progress.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_1\">\n<p id=\"p_2\">      2.   There can be no dispute on the question of law.  The<\/p>\n<p>powers   under   Sec.482   of   the   <a href=\"\/doc\/445276\/\" id=\"a_1\">Cr.P.C<\/a>.   takes   within   its   sweep,<\/p>\n<p>the powers to quash an F.I.R. which is registered by the police<\/p>\n<p>also.     The   width,   sweep   and   amplitude   of   the   powers   must<\/p>\n<p>bring   with   it   the   need   for   circumspection.       I   shall   not<\/p>\n<p>encumber   the   records   with   any   unnecessary   detailed<\/p>\n<p>discussion on merits.   Suffice it to say that I am satisfied that<\/p>\n<p>the   ideal     course   which   can   be   followed   by   the   court   in   the<\/p>\n<p>circumstances   of   this   case   is   to   permit   the   Investigator   to<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\" id=\"span_1\">CRL.M.C.NO. 506 OF 2007  -: 2 :-<\/span><\/p>\n<p>complete   the   investigation   and   file   the   final   report.       The<\/p>\n<p>petitioners&#8217; option to seek further relief in case such final report<\/p>\n<p>is   against   them   shall   remain   unfettered.   I   am,   in   these<\/p>\n<p>circumstances, satisfied that the relief claimed &#8211; quashing of the<\/p>\n<p>F.I.R. cannot and need not be granted invoking the powers under<\/p>\n<p>Sec.482   of   the   <a href=\"\/doc\/445276\/\" id=\"a_2\">Cr.P.C<\/a>.       However,   I   am   satisfied   that   the<\/p>\n<p>petitioners,   who   are   persons   not   residing   within   the   State,<\/p>\n<p>deserve   to   be   granted   protection   against   any   unnecessary   and<\/p>\n<p>vexatious   arrest.       The   learned   counsel   for   the   petitioners<\/p>\n<p>submits   that   an   anticipatory   bail   has   already   been   granted   in<\/p>\n<p>favour   of   the   petitioners   by   the   learned   Sessions   Judge.       The<\/p>\n<p>petitioners,  after  indulgent extension  of the  time granted, were<\/p>\n<p>permitted   to   surrender   before   the   learned   Magistrate   on   or<\/p>\n<p>before 24\/2\/2007.     But they have not been able to so surrender<\/p>\n<p>on   account   of   reasons   beyond   their   control.       The   learned<\/p>\n<p>counsel for the petitioners finally prays that,   in the interests of<\/p>\n<p>justice, the time granted under Annexures-A9 and A10 orders to<\/p>\n<p>appear before the learned Magistrate may be extended and the<\/p>\n<p>petitioners   may   be   granted   time   till   2\/4\/2007   to   appear   before<\/p>\n<p>the   learned   Magistrate   as   directed   in   Annexures-A9   and   A10<\/p>\n<p>orders   i.e.,   orders   dated   18\/1\/07   in   Crl.M.C.No.45\/07   and<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\" id=\"span_1\">CRL.M.C.NO. 506 OF 2007  -: 3 :-<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Crl.M.P.No.282\/07 dated 14\/2\/2007 both by the learned Sessions<\/p>\n<p>Judge, Kozhikode.  I am satisfied that though the said relief is not<\/p>\n<p>specifically   prayed   for  in   the  petition,  the   said  lesser   relief   can<\/p>\n<p>be granted in the peculiar facts and circumstances of this case.<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_3\">        3.   In   the   result,   this   Crl.M.C.   is   dismissed;   but   the<\/p>\n<p>petitioners   are   granted   time   till   2\/4\/2007   to   comply   with<\/p>\n<p>Annexures-A9 and A10 orders.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_4\">\n<p id=\"p_5\">                                                                Sd\/-\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_6\">\n<p>                                                      (R.
