SPEAKER: Matters under Rule 377 listed for the day be treated as laid on the Table of the House.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_2\"> 12.04 hrs. <\/p>\n<p>SHRI <a class=\"marker_ref\" href=\"\/search\/?formInput=ANANTA%20NAYAK\" id=\"a_1\"><a class=\"marker_ref\" href=\"\/search\/?formInput=ANANTA%20NAYAK\" id=\"a_1\"><a class=\"marker_ref\" href=\"\/search\/?formInput=ANANTA%20NAYAK\" id=\"a_2\">ANANTA NAYAK <\/a><\/a><\/a>(<a class=\"marker_ref\" href=\"\/search\/?formInput=KEONJHAR\" id=\"a_3\"><a class=\"marker_ref\" href=\"\/search\/?formInput=KEONJHAR\" id=\"a_4\"><a class=\"marker_ref\" href=\"\/search\/?formInput=KEONJHAR\" id=\"a_5\">KEONJHAR<\/a><\/a><\/a>) : I would like to draw the attention of the Govt. of India to the urgent need for providing Doordarshan facilities in Keonjhar district of Orissa. The people of the district are not able to view the full-fledged Doordarshan programmes as the district is located far away from Bhubaneswar, the Capital of Orissa and also Ranchi, the State Capital of Jharkhand. The people of this border district of Bihar and Orissa are agitating over non-availability of adequate Doordarshan facilities. Unless a Low power transmitter is set up, one at Champua bordering Jharkhand State, one at Telkoi bordering Dhenkanal district in Orissa and one at Dhenkikot, a nearby shrine of Ma Tarini of Ghatgaon, the people of that predominately tribal district will continue to be deprived of the TV facilities.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_3\">As such, I demand that Low Power Transmitter be set up, one at Champua, one at Telkoi and one at Dhenkikot in Keonjhar districts of Orissa without any further delay. I also demand the upgradation of Keonjhargarh Doordarshan Kendra to a High Power T.V.
