Justice P.Q.BARKATH ALI\n\n Dated :11\/12\/2009\n\n O R D E R\n         KURIAN JOSEPH &amp; P.Q.BARKATH ALI, JJ.\n            -----------------------------------------\n                 W.P(C)No.30667 of 2009\n            -----------------------------------------\n        Dated this the 11th day of December, 2009\n\n                          JUDGMENT\n<\/pre>\n<p>Kurian Joseph,J.\n<\/p>\n<p>           Petitioner approached this court seeking police<\/p>\n<p>protection to the life and property of the petitioner.        On<\/p>\n<p>29-10-2009 this court issued a direction to the Police to<\/p>\n<p>ensure that law and order is maintained. It is pointed out in<\/p>\n<p>the counter affidavit that because of the pendency of the writ<\/p>\n<p>petition the Police is not investigating the cases in which the<\/p>\n<p>petitioner himself is involved. A writ petition before this court<\/p>\n<p>shall not be used as a tool for stalling the investigation. By<\/p>\n<p>the interim order this court has only reminded the Police of<\/p>\n<p>their statutory obligation.
