Ramamoorthy, GM\n                       Mr. Umesh Sharma, DGM\n\n                       Appellant not present.\n\nFACTS<\/pre>\n<p>:\n<\/p>\n<p>       The appellant has sought information under RTI Act by his letter dated 17.10.2007<br \/>\naddressed to the PIO, State Bank of India, SAMG, Mumbai requesting for various details<br \/>\nof OTS entered between the Bank and M\/s Logitronics Pvt. Ltd. The PIO has furnished<br \/>\nhis reply vide letter dated 17.11.2007 by which he has denied information in respect of<br \/>\ncertain queries under section 8(1)(d) while furnishing some information. Dissatisfied with<br \/>\nthe reply, the appellant preferred an appeal on 22.11.2007 and the first AA has given his<br \/>\ndecision on 26.12.2007 by which he has reiterated the stand of the CPIO. Again<br \/>\naggrieved with the said decision the appellant filed this present appeal before the<br \/>\nCommission on 4.1.2008. Comments were called for from public authority vide letter<br \/>\ndated 27.3.2008, which was received from CPIO on 23.4.2008.\n<\/p>\n<p>DECISION:\n<\/p>\n<p>2.     This case was taken up for hearing on 4.7.2008, which was attended by the<br \/>\nfollowing officials from SBI:\n<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>       Mr. R.C.Agasimani, AGM (Law)<br \/>\n       Mr. V.Ramamoorthy, GM (SAMG)<br \/>\n       Mr. Umesh Sharma, DGM<\/p>\n<p>I have gone through the RTI application as well as replies received in this connection. It<br \/>\nis seen the appellant has raised mainly queries and in respect of query the CPIO need not<br \/>\nhave to reply and where the appellant is asking for categorical reply the period for which<br \/>\nthe appellant remained as director the CPIO will consider the request oncegain and<br \/>\n<span class=\"hidden_text\">                                                   1<\/span><br \/>\n provide reply. Though the reply given by the CPIO in respect of query nos. 1 to 6 and 8,<br \/>\n9 by indicating that information is exempted under section 8(1)(d) is correct, at the same<br \/>\ntime, during the hearing, it is learnt that Shri S.K. Poddar was director up to a particular<br \/>\npoint of time and he is entitled for the information upto that period. It is directed the<br \/>\nCPIO should examine this aspect again and furnish the information within 15 days from<br \/>\nthe date of receipt of this decision. It was brought to the notice of the Commission that<br \/>\nthe appellant has been filing various applications on the very same subject though he has<br \/>\nbeen provided with the information. The appellant is hereby advised not to file such<br \/>\napplications in future, since it is taking away the precious time of the Bank as well as the<br \/>\nCommission.
