This is one such case.  The petitioner<br \/>\nobtained three different electricity connections in the same premises<br \/>\nand when he is issued Notice, the case of the petitioner is that, &#8216;it<br \/>\nwas on separate applications and on furnishing separate assessment by<br \/>\nthe electricity company that these connections are obtained&#8217;.  He<br \/>\nis very blunt in replying to the Notice that &#8216;he does not propose<br \/>\nto change his electricity connections and therefore, his connections<br \/>\nbe not clubbed together&#8217;.\n<\/p>\n<p>2.0\tThe<br \/>\npetitioner seems to be under an impression that he is obliging the<br \/>\nelectricity company by taking electricity supply from the company and<br \/>\nas if, it is beneficial for the electricity company to continue these<br \/>\nthree different connections, he can exercise this option of allowing<br \/>\nthe electricity company to club this connections or not.\n<\/p>\n<p>3.0\tThe<br \/>\nmatter is having a serious facets, warranting an order of criminal<br \/>\nprosecution, not only against the petitioner, but also against the<br \/>\nemployees of the electricity company, who must have obliged the<br \/>\npetitioner by giving these three different connections.  The<br \/>\npetitioner is given a bill of Rs.1,29,34,815\/ on 9th<br \/>\nNovember 2010.  The matter requires &#8216;immediate disconnection of the<br \/>\npower supply&#8217; but to see that the petitioner is given an opportunity<br \/>\nto pay this amount, without prejudice to his rights and contentions,<br \/>\nit is deemed fit that on petitioner&#8217;s depositing an amount of Rs.5<br \/>\nlakh tomorrow i.e. 29th January 2011 by 12:30 p.m., the<br \/>\nelectricity company may not disconnect the power supply.\n<\/p>\n<p>4.0\tThe<br \/>\nmatter is kept on Monday i.e. 31st<br \/>\nJanuary 2011 to enable the learned advocate for the petitioner to<br \/>\nobtain specific instructions about the time frame, in which the<br \/>\npetitioner proposes to deposit this amount.\n<\/p>\n<p>4.1\tIt<br \/>\nis made clear that if the proposal is not found reasonable by the<br \/>\nCourt, the Court may resort to passing aforesaid directions.\n<\/p>\n<p>[<br \/>\nRavi R.
