CHIDAMBARAM<\/a>): Sir, I beg to lay a statement regarding the status of implementation of the recommendations contained in the 51st Report of the Standing Committee on Finance on Demands for Grants (2007-08), pertaining to the Department of Economic Affairs, Financial Services, Expenditure and Disinvestment, Ministry of Finance.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The 51st Report of the Standing Committee on Finance (14th Lok Sabha) was presented in the Lok Sabha on 28th\u00a0 April, 2007.\u00a0 It relates to examination of Demands for Grants (2007-08).\u00a0 In the Report, the Committee deliberated on various issues and made thirty-three (33) recommendations, where action is called for on the part of the Government. These recommendations mainly pertain to the issues like Inflation, Agriculture Credit, Computerisation and Introduction of Core Banking Solution in Public Sector Banks.\u00a0 Lending to weaker section by Commercial banks, Crop Insurance, Customer Service in Banking Sector, SEBI Investor Protection Fund, Achievement of FRBM Targets, Disinvestment Policy Document etc.  <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Action Taken Statements on the recommendations\/observations contained in the Report had been sent to the Standing Committee on Finance on 30th July, 2007.\u00a0 Present status of implementation of the recommendations made by the Committee in the 51st Report is indicated in Annexure.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I would not like to take the valuable time of the House to read out the contents of the Annexure.\u00a0 I would request that this may be taken as read.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0  <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0  <\/p>\n<p> \u00a0  <\/p>\n<p>* Laid on the Table and also placed in Library, See No. LT 7701\/2007)[r14]\u00a0  <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0  <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0  <\/p>\n<p> 12.05\u00bd hrs.\u00a0\u00a0   <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0  <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lok Sabha Debates The Minister Of Finance Laid A Statement Regarding The Status Of &#8230;
