Respondents.\n\nPrayer: Petition filed seeking for a writ of Mandamus, forbearing the respondent and their subordinates from collecting the tax for the premises No.148  Perambur High Road  Perambur Barracks  Chennai-12 and taking distraint action against the tenants and the petitioner.\n\n\t\tFor Petitioner\t  : Mr.G.Appavu\n\n\t\tFor Respondents   : Mr.Manoharan\n\nO R D E R\n<\/pre>\n<p>\tHeard the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t2. At this stage of the hearing of the writ petition, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner had submitted that the<br \/>\nM.JAICHANDREN,J.\n<\/p>\n<p>cse<br \/>\nentire amount of property tax payable by the Madarasa Jamalia Wakf, had been paid by the petitioner.  He had further submitted that the water supply and sewarage tax had also been paid by him, amounting to a sum of Rs.50,000\/-.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t3. The said submission made by the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner had not been refuted by the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t4. In such circumstances, since, no further orders are necessary, the present writ petition stands closed.  However, it is made clear that it would be open to the respondent to initiate appropriate action, as per law, for the collection of the balance of water supply and sewarage tax, payable by the Madarasa Jamalia Wakf. No costs.
