Justice R.BASANT\n\n Dated :16\/07\/2008\n\n O R D E R\n                               R.BASANT, J\n                        ------------------------------------\n                       W.P(C) No.6680 of 2007\n                       -------------------------------------\n                Dated this the 16th day of July, 2008\n\n                                    ORDER\n<\/pre>\n<p>      Petitioners complain about inadequate investigation in<\/p>\n<p>Crime No.101 of 1990 of Rajakkad Police Station. That crime<\/p>\n<p>relates to the unnatural death of one Sathi, mother of the 2nd<\/p>\n<p>petitioner. The 1st petitioner claims to be a social worker who has<\/p>\n<p>taken active interest to ensure such proper investigation of this<\/p>\n<p>case. The crux of the allegations is that the said deceased Sathi<\/p>\n<p>expired on 17.09.1990 while she was undergoing treatment at the<\/p>\n<p>Janatha hospital at Rajakkad. Investigation has been dragging on<\/p>\n<p>for the past about 18 years. But the final report has not been<\/p>\n<p>filed yet.\n<\/p>\n<p>      2.    Statements have been filed by the respondents. The<\/p>\n<p>learned Government Pleader now submits that the investigation<\/p>\n<p>is almost complete and given reasonable further time, the<\/p>\n<p>investigators shall now file final report in the matter. A copy of<\/p>\n<p>the final report shall be furnished to the 2nd petitioner herein<\/p>\n<p>whereupon the 2nd petitioner, if she is aggrieved by such final<\/p>\n<p>report, shall have all the avenues of challenge open to her.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\">W.P(C) No.6680 of 2007             2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>      3.   I am satisfied, in these circumstances, that this Writ<\/p>\n<p>Petition can be dismissed with appropriate observations accepting<\/p>\n<p>the submissions of the learned Government Pleader.<\/p>\n<p>      4.   This Writ Petition is, in these circumstances, dismissed<\/p>\n<p>with the direction that the Investigating Officer shall complete the<\/p>\n<p>investigation within a period of 45 days from this date and shall<\/p>\n<p>file final report in Crime No.101 of 1990 of Rajakkad Police<\/p>\n<p>Station. The Writ<\/p>\n<p>Petition is admitted. The learned Government Pleader takes notice on<\/p>\n<p>behalf of respondents 1 to 4. The learned G.P shall take instructions<\/p>\n<p>and report to the Court the stage of investigation in Ext.P1 crime.<\/p>\n<p>      2.
