Justice KURIAN JOSEPH\n\n Dated :29\/09\/2008\n\n O R D E R\n                        KURIAN JOSEPH, J.\n              ----------------------------------------------\n                   W.P.(C) No.32812 of 2006\n              ----------------------------------------------\n                Dated 29th September, 2008.\n\n                           J U D G M E N T\n<\/pre>\n<p>                 The writ petition is filed mainly with the following<\/p>\n<p>prayer :-\n<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>                      &#8221; Issue a writ of mandamus or other appropriate writ<br \/>\n          or order directing the first respondent to remit the electricity<br \/>\n          charges incurred by the usage of motor to pump drinking water in<br \/>\n          Ward Nos.9, 10 and 11 of the Panchayat.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In view of the clarification issued by the Government, which is<\/p>\n<p>produced as Ext.R1(a) in the counter affidavit filed by the first<\/p>\n<p>respondent, the Panchayat is not liable to meet the water charges<\/p>\n<p>of the taps referred to in the writ petition. Therefore, there is no<\/p>\n<p>merit in the writ petition.
