Arora, OSD\n\n                    Mr. Syed Qumral Huda-Appellant\nFACTS<\/pre>\n<p>:\n<\/p>\n<p>      The appellant has sought information under RTI Act by his letter dated<br \/>\n31.1.2008 addressed to PIO, Hindustan Vegatable Oils Corporation Limited,<br \/>\nCorporate Office, New Delhi requesting information pertaining to certain letters<br \/>\nwhich he had written to CMD on 31.1.2007, 11.4.2007 and 7.1.2008. The<br \/>\nappellant claims he has also forwarded those letters along with the RTI<br \/>\napplication. Since he did not receive any reply he has preferred an appeal on<br \/>\n11.3.2008 for which also he has not received any reply. This has prompted the<br \/>\nappellant to file this complaint before the Commission on 16.4.2008. Comments<br \/>\nwere called from the public authority and since the Commission has notreceived<br \/>\nany comments from the public authority, the case was listed for hearing on<br \/>\n5.11.2008, which was attended by the OSD-cum-PIO. The appellant has also<br \/>\nattended the hearing in person.\n<\/p>\n<p>DECISION:\n<\/p>\n<p>2.      I have gone through the RTI application and other replies received in this<br \/>\nconnection. During the hearing it is found that after the appellant has taken up<br \/>\nthe matter with the Commission, the Officer on Special Duty-cum-CPIO,<br \/>\nCorporate Office has given his reply to the application on 28.4.2008, which is<br \/>\nafter a period of three months. As per the CPIO is expected to reply within 30<br \/>\ndays while giving reply. It is seen the CPIO has also not provided the particulars<br \/>\nof first AA. As far as the reply is concerned, I am satisfied with the reply given by<br \/>\nthe PIO. The PIO has stated very clearly that no action has been taken on the<br \/>\nletters quoted by the appellant. However the appellant has stated that the CPIO<br \/>\nhas given reply without going through the records. Hence, the CPIO has been<br \/>\ndirected to go through the records of his office as well as the records in the<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\">                                               1<\/span><br \/>\n Breakfast Unit and find out what action has been taken on these letters. The<br \/>\nactual position should be intimated to the appellant by indicating if anyone had<br \/>\nmade any remarks that should also be provided to him. Otherwise the CPIO has<br \/>\nto say no recording has been made.
