Justice T.R.RAMACHANDRAN NAIR\n\n Dated :06\/03\/2009\n\n O R D E R\n                T.R.RAMACHANDRAN NAIR,J.\n                       -------------------------\n                  W.P ( C) No.6362 of 2009\n                      --------------------------\n               Dated this the 6th March,2009\n\n                        J U D G M E N T\n<\/pre>\n<p>      The petitioner was suspended from service by the<\/p>\n<p>District Collector as per Exhibit-P4 order. The main<\/p>\n<p>contention raised in the writ petition is that the District<\/p>\n<p>Collector is not the competent authority and therefore<\/p>\n<p>the order of suspension is passed without jurisdiction.<\/p>\n<p>     2.    On instructions, learned Government Pleader<\/p>\n<p>submitted that under Rule 10 of the Kerala Civil Services<\/p>\n<p>(Classification, Control and Appeal ) Rules 1960 and as<\/p>\n<p>per the notification issued in the year 2006, the District<\/p>\n<p>Collector has been conferred with power to pass orders of<\/p>\n<p>suspension in respect of Tahasildars.<\/p>\n<p>     3.
