Phase Main P.S.\nRajeev Nagar, District Patna. ----- Petitioner.\n                                                Versus\nThe State of Bihar. ------ Opposite Party\n                                               -----------\n<\/pre>\n<p>4      9.11.2011                 Heard       learned      counsel         for     the<\/p>\n<p>                      petitioner and the counsel appearing on behalf<\/p>\n<p>                      of the informant.\n<\/p>\n<p>                                 This Court by order dated 31.5.2011 had<\/p>\n<p>                      granted provisional bail to the petitioner so<\/p>\n<p>                      that the matter could be settled between the<\/p>\n<p>                      parties.        The   provisional    bail     was    extended<\/p>\n<p>                      till 19th of October, 2011.           For one reason or<\/p>\n<p>                      the other, the parties could not settle the<\/p>\n<p>                      issues.      This Court had ordered that if the<\/p>\n<p>                      settlement is not made, the petitioner should<\/p>\n<p>                      surrender       by    19.10.2011.      Once     there       was<\/p>\n<p>                      failure    of    settling    the    matter    between       the<\/p>\n<p>                      parties, the petitioner filed an Interlocutory<\/p>\n<p>                      Application numbered as I.A. No. 2160 of 2011<\/p>\n<p>                      on 14.10.2011 praying for extension of time.<\/p>\n<p>                      The   Interlocutory       Application       could     not   be<\/p>\n<p>                      placed till today as such, the time was not<\/p>\n<p>                      extended.\n<\/p>\n<p>                                 This is a case in which there is an<\/p>\n<p>                      allegation that the petitioner had issued four<\/p>\n<p>                      cheques of sum of Rs. 15 lacks which bounced.<br \/>\n<span class=\"hidden_text\">                             2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>         This    resulted       in    a    case     being    filed       under<\/p>\n<p>         Section 138 of the Negotiable Instrument Act as<\/p>\n<p>         well as Sections            420 and 506 of the Indian<\/p>\n<p>         Penal    Code   as     the       petitioner       had    failed    to<\/p>\n<p>         honour the agreement to pay a certain amount of<\/p>\n<p>         money in exchange of property which he proposed<\/p>\n<p>         to buy from the informant.                   For the offences<\/p>\n<p>         aforesaid,      the       petitioner        has     remained       in<\/p>\n<p>         custody for 1\u00bd months.\n<\/p>\n<p>                   I     accordingly,              direct         that     the<\/p>\n<p>         petitioner Praveen Kumar should surrender by<\/p>\n<p>         30.11.2011. On his surrender the Court below<\/p>\n<p>         will     release     him     on     bail     on    2.12.2011       in<\/p>\n<p>         connection with Patna City Chowk P.S.
