Director of Education (North East)\n                                           Yamuna Vihar Delhi 110053\n\n\nRTI application filed on                   :21\/03\/2009\nPIO replied                                :7 schools replied; and 7 schools did not\nComplaint filed on                         :14\/07\/2009\n\nInformation sought:\nDetails of amount spent on replacement\/repairing\/purchasing of Dual Desks from VKS\nfund during the session of 2008-09 in 14 schools:\n   i)      Details of fund spent on purchase of tables, chairs and desks.\n   ii)     Details of fund spent on repairing of tables, chairs and desks.\n   iii)    Details of desks, which were repaired.\n   iv)     Number of desks purchased.\n   v)      Copy of bills\/vouchers related to desks repair.\n   vi)     Copy of bills\/vouchers related to purchase of new desks\/dual desks.\n   vii)    Copy of bills\/vouchers related to repair of desks\/dual desks.\n   viii) Copy of condemnation registers maintained during 2008-09.\n   ix)     Permission to allow inspection of new desks\/chairs\/tables which have been\n           purchased from VKS funds during 2008-09 session. Name of the official who\n           will be there during inspection.\n\nGrounds for Complaint:\n   \u2022 Incomplete and unsatisfactory information given by the PIO.\n   \u2022 Information to be provided free of cost.\n   \u2022 Penalty must be imposed and disciplinary action must be initiated.\n\nRelevant Facts<\/pre>\n<p> emerging during Hearing:\n<\/p>\n<p>The following were present<br \/>\n Complainant: Ms. Ritu Mehra<br \/>\nRespondent: Mr. RP Yadav, PIO<\/p>\n<p>The Complainant pointed out that the most essential information which must reach<br \/>\nschools and their parents is not available today. After discussions, the Commission<br \/>\ndirected the PIO to ensure that the following is done in compliance of Section 4<br \/>\nrequirements. All schools will display:\n<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>    1. The entitlements of the students and all welfare schemes applicable to the<br \/>\n        students. This should also display the dates by which these entitlements have to be<br \/>\n        provided.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>    2. The last date by which the student diaries should be given to the students.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>    3. Information about the Education Officer and the Deputy Director of Education<br \/>\n        who is incharge of the Zone and the District.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>These will be displayed prominently in all schools in Hindi and English and also on the<br \/>\nwebsite of the Department.\n<\/p>\n<p>Decision:\n<\/p>\n<p>The Complaints are allowed.\n<\/p>\n<p>The PIO will ensure that all the information directed above will be displayed in the<br \/>\nschools in Hindi and English language and also on the website of the Department before<br \/>\n25 September 2009.
