RAMKUMAR, J.\n                   =====================\n                          B.A. No. 3276 of 2008\n                   ======================\n                  Dated, this the 22nd day of 2008.\n\n                                  ORDER\n<\/pre>\n<p>       Petitioners who are the accused in Crime No.198 of 2008 of<\/p>\n<p>Shornur Police Station for offences punishable      under Sections 8(1)<\/p>\n<p>and (2) of the Abkari Act seeks their enlargement on bail.              The<\/p>\n<p>occurrence took place on 03.05.2008. The petitioners were arrested<\/p>\n<p>on 03.05.2008.\n<\/p>\n<p>       2. The application was opposed on behalf of the prosecution.<\/p>\n<p>       3.    Having regard to the nature of the offences, the nature of<\/p>\n<p>injuries sustained by the injured, the relatively short duration of the<\/p>\n<p>judicial custody undergone by the petitioners, the present stage of<\/p>\n<p>investigation and the other facts and circumstances of the case, I am<\/p>\n<p>satisfied that if the petitioners are released on bail, they will definitely<\/p>\n<p>influence and intimidate the prosecution witnesses. There is also the<\/p>\n<p>likelihood of the petitioners making himself scarce and fleeing from<\/p>\n<p>justice. I am, therefore, not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners at<\/p>\n<p>this stage.\n<\/p>\n<p>       This petition is accordingly dismissed.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>                                           V.
