Justice M.C.HARI RANI\n\n Dated :24\/11\/2010\n\n O R D E R\n               K.M.JOSEPH &amp; M.C.HARI RANI, JJ.\n         ------------------------------------------------------\n                  W.P.(C) No.25354 of 2010-T\n            ----------------------------------------------\n          Dated, this the 24th day of November, 2010\n\n                          J U D G M E N T\n<\/pre>\n<p>K.M.Joseph, J.\n<\/p>\n<p>               Petitioner has approached this Court seeking the<\/p>\n<p>following reliefs:\n<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>      &#8220;i. to issue a writ of mandamus or any other writ or<br \/>\n      order directing the Ist and 6th respondent to provide<br \/>\n      adequate and effective police protection to the petitioner<br \/>\n      and his family from the illegal acts of the respondents 2<br \/>\n      to 5.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>      ii) to issue a writ of mandamus or any other writ or<br \/>\n      order directing the 6th respondent to complete the<br \/>\n      reinvestigation   of   crime   No.45\/08    and   158\/08of<br \/>\n      Kurathikad Police station within stipulated time.&#8221;\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>             2.   Briefly put, the case of the petitioner is as<\/p>\n<p>follows: Petitioner was employed in KSEB. Respondents 2 to<\/p>\n<p>4 along with some others attacked the petitioner and his wife.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>He was brutally beaten up before his wife and his 11 year old<\/p>\n<p>son. A crime is registered. Respondents 2 to 4 have criminal<\/p>\n<p>records.    Various allegations      are raised.     Petitioner filed<\/p>\n<p>petition.    Enquiries have been made.          The 6th respondent<\/p>\n<p>police officer is aiding the other party respondents.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\">WPC 25354\/2010                       -2-<\/span><\/p>\n<p>            3. A counter affidavit is filed by respondents 2 to<\/p>\n<p>4 and also by the 5th respondent.\n<\/p>\n<p>            4. We heard the learned counsel for the parties.<\/p>\n<p>Learned Government Pleader submits that crimes have been<\/p>\n<p>registered against respondents 2 to 4. In view of the context,<\/p>\n<p>we dispose of the writ petition as follows.<\/p>\n<p>            If the petitioner complains of any threat to his life<\/p>\n<p>by respondents 2 to 4 before the 6th respondent, the 6th<\/p>\n<p>respondent will look into the same and if the threat is found to<\/p>\n<p>be genuine, the 6th respondent shall provide adequate<\/p>\n<p>protection for the life of the petitioner as against respondents<\/p>\n<p>2 to 4.
