Jindal, J<br \/>\n            This appeal for enhancement is directed against the award dated<br \/>\n1.6.2004 passed by the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Amritsar,<br \/>\nawarding compensation to the tune of Rs.92,000\/- along with interest @ 9%<br \/>\nper annum in favour of the claimants-appellants and against the<br \/>\nrespondents.\n<\/p>\n<p>            In this case, a nine years old child died, but compensation only<br \/>\nto the tune of Rs.92,000\/- has been awarded to the claimants. The award<br \/>\nappears to be meager. However, learned counsel for the appellants has<br \/>\noffered to compromise the matter on payment of further sum of Rs.58,000\/-<br \/>\nover and above the award amount. The offer has been accepted by the<br \/>\nlearned counsel for the respondent company.\n<\/p>\n<p>            Thus, with the consensus of the parties, this appeal is partly<br \/>\naccepted. The claimants would be entitled to receive a sum of Rs.58,000\/-<br \/>\nover and above the award amount which would be paid by the respondents<br \/>\nwithin 45 days from the date of receipt of copy of the order, failing which<br \/>\nthe claimants would also be entitled to interest @ 9% per annum on the<br \/>\nenhanced amount from the date of application till realization.\n<\/p>\n<pre>December 14, 2009                                        (A.N.
