( Oral )<\/p>\n<p>             The petitioner, who was working as Chowkidar in Municipal<\/p>\n<p>Council, Fatehgarh Churian, Tehsil Batala, District Gurdaspur, and had<\/p>\n<p>retired on 29.2.2008, on attaining the age of superannuation, has filed the<\/p>\n<p>instant petition for issuing direction to the respondents to release his retiral<\/p>\n<p>benefits, including leave encashment, due medical allowance and revised<\/p>\n<p>pension ec. It is stated in the petition that except an amount of<\/p>\n<p>Rs.1,55,000\/-, the petitioner has not been paid the amount on account of<\/p>\n<p>leave encashment etc. It is further stated that in this regard, a representation<\/p>\n<p>dated 8.9.2009 (Annexure P-5) was made by the petitioner, but till date,<\/p>\n<p>neither the said representation has been decided nor the retiral benefits of<\/p>\n<p>the petitioner have been released.
