Justice S.SIRI JAGAN\n\n Dated :24\/06\/2008\n\n O R D E R\n                           S.SIRI JAGAN, J\n                    = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =\n                     W.P.(C).No. 18942 OF 2008\n                       = = = = = = = = = = = = =\n                  Dated this the 24th day of June, 2008.\n\n                            J U D G M E N T\n<\/pre>\n<p>      The petitioner claims to be a former taxi driver who had<\/p>\n<p>held a permit to run a taxi service in the Erstwhile Cochin Air Port<\/p>\n<p>at Cochin. According to the petitioner, when the air port was<\/p>\n<p>shifted to the present International Air Port at Nedumbassery,<\/p>\n<p>there was a promise that the former taxi drivers at Ernakulam<\/p>\n<p>would also be considered for issuing taxi permits in the<\/p>\n<p>International Air Port. Petitioner&#8217;s grievance is that the petitioner<\/p>\n<p>has not been given such a permit. Detailing the grievance, the<\/p>\n<p>petitioner had filed Ext.P5 representation before the 2nd<\/p>\n<p>respondent. Petitioner seeks a direction to the 2nd respondent to<\/p>\n<p>consider and pass orders on Ext.P5 expeditiously.<\/p>\n<p>      2.  I have heard the standing counsel appearing for the<\/p>\n<p>respondent also.\n<\/p>\n<p>      3.  In the facts and circumstances of the case, I dispose<\/p>\n<p>of this writ petition with a direction to the 2nd respondent to<\/p>\n<p>consider and pass appropriate orders on Ext.P5, as expeditiously<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\">W.P.(C).No. 18492 OF 2008        2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>as possible, at any rate, within two months from the date of<\/p>\n<p>receipt of a copy of this judgment.         The petitioner shall be<\/p>\n<p>afforded an opportunity of being heard.
