She died while in service. Thereafter, father<br \/>\n     of the petitioner applied for compassionate appointment.<br \/>\n     The mother of the petitioner died as back as on 13th<br \/>\n     April, 1991. Immediately after the death, the father of<br \/>\n     the petitioner applied for compassionate appointment by<br \/>\n     application dated 25th June, 1991. This Application was<br \/>\n     rejected on 9.7.1992, as per the order at Annexure `C&#8217;.<br \/>\n     The father of the petitioner thereafter did not pursue<br \/>\n     the aforesaid matter further and after a considerable<br \/>\n     period, the petitioner, who is the son of the deceased<br \/>\n     employee, again gave an application that he may be given<br \/>\n     compassionate appointment and that since at the relevant<br \/>\n     time, he was a minor, after attaining majority, such<br \/>\n     application was made. It is required to be noted that<br \/>\n     the claim of the father of the petitioner was rejected as<br \/>\n     back as in the year 1992. Therefore, the question about<br \/>\n     compassionate appointment to the family members of the<br \/>\n     deceased was already concluded at that time. Thereafter,<br \/>\n     after a period of eight years, it was not open for the<br \/>\n     petitioner to give such application. The said request,<br \/>\n     therefore, made on behalf of the petitioner was rightly<br \/>\n     rejected by the Director by his decision dated 7th June,<br \/>\n     2000.   Once the request made on behalf of the father of<br \/>\n     the petitioner is rejected, no such application, at the<br \/>\n     instance of the present petitioner, was maintainable and<br \/>\n     was accordingly rightly rejected. I do not, therefore,<br \/>\n     find any substance in this petition. The petition is,<br \/>\n therefore, dismissed at the admission stage.\n<\/p>\n<p>11th January, 2002   ( P.B.
