(Oral)\n<\/pre>\n<p>            Counsel for the      respondents states that all dues which the<br \/>\npetitioner was entitled to and permissible under the Rules, have            been<br \/>\nreleased to him which includes the leave encashment amounting                 to<br \/>\n` 2,48,000\/- and 100% provisional pension. Referring to Rule 9.14 and<br \/>\nRule 11.1 of the Punjab Civil Service Rules, Vol. II, it has been stated by<br \/>\nhim that as a corruption case is pending trial before the Court against the<br \/>\npetitioner, the amount of Gratuity and commutation of pension cannot be<br \/>\nreleased to him.\n<\/p>\n<p>            Counsel for the petitioner could not dispute this assertion but<br \/>\nprays that the trial is pending against the petitioner since 2004 and a<br \/>\ndirection be issued for early disposal of the same.\n<\/p>\n<p>            In case the petitioner approaches the Court for speedy disposal<\/p>\n<p>of the case, the Court shall take into consideration the said request of the<\/p>\n<p>petitioner and an effort be made to decide the same expeditiously.\n<\/p>\n<p>            Petition stands disposed of in the above terms.\n<\/p>\n<pre>May 24, 2011                           ( AUGUSTINE GEORGE MASIH )\npoonam                                           JUDGE\n <\/pre>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Punjab-Haryana High Court C.W.P.No.17786 Of 2 vs Punjab State Electricity Board &#8230;
