SIRI JAGAN, J.\n                   ---------------------------------\n                    W.P.(C)NO.22021 OF 2007\n                  ------------------------------------\n            DATED THIS THE 18th DAY OF JULY, 2007\n\n                              JUDGMENT\n<\/pre>\n<p>       The petitioner challenges proceedings under the Revenue<\/p>\n<p>Recovery Act for recovery of motor vehicle&#8217;s tax due on the vehicle<\/p>\n<p>belonging to the petitioner. The petitioner&#8217;s contention is the before<\/p>\n<p>initiating proceedings, no demand has been served on the petitioner<\/p>\n<p>under the Act.      However, the petitioner confines his prayer for<\/p>\n<p>permission to pay off the amounts in instalments.<\/p>\n<p>       2.    I have heard the learned Government pleader also. In the<\/p>\n<p>facts and circumstances of the case, I direct the respondents to permit<\/p>\n<p>the petitioner to pay off the amount covered by Exts.P1 and P2 in ten<\/p>\n<p>equal monthly instalments starting from 1.8.2007. Every subsequent<\/p>\n<p>instalment shall be paid on the first working day of every succeeding<\/p>\n<p>month.     If the petitioner pays the instalments in time as directed<\/p>\n<p>above, further proceedings pursuant to Exts.P1 and P2 shall be kept in<\/p>\n<p>abeyance. However, if the petitioner commits default in payment of<\/p>\n<p>any one of the instalments, the 1st respondent can continue<\/p>\n<p>proceedings as per Exts.P1 and P2 without having to issue any notice<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\">W.P.(c)No.22021\/07                  2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>or proceedings in that regard.\n<\/p>\n<p>      The writ petition is disposed of as above.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>                                        S.
