      Petitioner, who is the 1st accused in Crime No.1174\/2010
\nof      Narakkal    Police   Station    for   offences     punishable under
\nSections 498A and 323 read with 34 I.P.C., seeks anticipatory bail.\n<\/p>\n
      2.     The learned Public Prosecutor opposed the application.<\/p>\n
      3.     Anticipatory bail cannot be granted in a case of this nature.<\/p>\n
But at the same time, I am inclined to permit the petitioner to surrender<\/p>\n
before the Investigating Officer for the purpose of interrogation and then<\/p>\n
to have his application for bail considered by the Magistrate        having<\/p>\n
jurisdiction.  Accordingly, the petitioner shall surrender before the<\/p>\n
investigating officer on 23.11.2010 or on 24.11.2010 for the purpose<\/p>\n
of interrogation and recovery of incriminating material, if any. The<\/p>\n
petitioner shall thereafter be produced before the Magistrate who on<\/p>\n
being satisfied that the petitioner has been interrogated by the police<\/p>\n
shall consider and dispose of his application for regular bail preferably<\/p>\n
on the same date on which it is filed.\n<\/p>\n
      This petition is disposed of as above.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
