MARCH 23, 2007\n\n\n                                          JUDGMENT\n<\/pre>\n<p>        Petitioner   No.1   is   an   association   of   employees   representing   the<\/p>\n<p>personal   staff   in   the   Bharath   Sanchar   Nigam   Ltd.   (for   short,   the   company).\n<\/p>\n<p>Petitioners 2 and 3 are stated to be stenographers working in the company.\n<\/p>\n<p>        2.  The grievance of the petitioners appears to be that they have been<\/p>\n<p>stagnating   in   the   post   of   stenographers   for   long   and   thus   their   promotional<\/p>\n<p>avenues   are   being   adversely   affected.     I   do   not   propose   to   deal   with     the<\/p>\n<p>above and other contentions raised by the petitioners at this stage in view of<\/p>\n<p>the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioners at the Bar.  It is<\/p>\n<p>submitted that petitioners will be satisfied if  an appropriate direction is issued<\/p>\n<p>to   the   2nd  respondent   to   consider   and   dispose   of   Ext.P17   representation.\n<\/p>\n<p>Learned   standing   counsel   for   the   company   submits   that   an   appropriate<\/p>\n<p>decision on Ext.P17  will be taken expeditiously.\n<\/p>\n<p>        3.  In the above facts and circumstances this writ petition is disposed of<\/p>\n<p>with a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider and pass orders on Ext.P17<\/p>\n<p>representation strictly on its merit and in accordance with law as expeditiously<\/p>\n<p>as possible, at any rate, within four months from the date of receipt of a copy<\/p>\n<p>WP(C) 9981\/2007<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\">                                             : 2 :<\/span><\/p>\n<p>of   this   judgment.     An   authorised   representative   of   the   petitioners   shall   be<\/p>\n<p>afforded sufficient opportunity to be heard before any decision is taken.
