Respondents\n\nPrayer\n\nWrit Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India\nfor issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first respondent to pay\nthe compensation to the petitioner for the death of the petitioner's husband due\nto snake bite under Tamil Nadu Agricultural Labourers, Agriculturist, Social\nProtection and Welfare Scheme 2006.\n   \t\t\n!For Petitioner  ... Mr.D.Sasikumar\n\t\t     Government Advocate\n\t\n:ORDER\n<\/pre>\n<p>\t Heard Mr.S.Muthalraj, learned counsel for the petitioner and also<br \/>\nMr.D.Sasikumar, learned Government Advocate, who took notice on behalf of the<br \/>\nrespondents.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t2. The grievance of the petitioner as aired by the learned counsel for the<br \/>\npetitioner, is to the effect that the petitioner, who is the unfortunate widow<br \/>\nof late.Senthurpandi, who died due to snake bite; thereupon, the petitioner made<br \/>\nrepresentation to the second respondent viz., the Special Tahsildar; thereupon<br \/>\nthe second respondent vide communication dated 15.10.2007 in<br \/>\nM5\/j\/eh\/tp\/bjh.54\/07 informed that the compensation would be awarded; however,<br \/>\nthere was no follow-up action thereafter.  Hence, this writ petition.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t 3. Heard the learned Government Advocate.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t4. Hence, in these circumstances, the following direction is issued:<br \/>\n\tOn receipt of a copy of this order, the petitioner shall appear before the<br \/>\nDistrict Collector, Thoothukudi District and air the grievance and thereupon the<br \/>\nDistrict Collector, by considering the aforesaid Tahsildar communication dated<br \/>\n15.10.2007, shall make arrangements to pay the  compensation within a period of<br \/>\nthree months, if there is no legal embargo.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t 5. With the above said direction, this writ petition is disposed of.
