NO.  2020 OF 2007\n\n                 =================================\n\n                   Dated this the 25th  day of  May 2007\n\n\n                                      O R D E R\n<\/pre>\n<p>       The   revision   petitioner   stands   convicted   for   the   offence   under<\/p>\n<p>Section   138   of   the   Negotiable   Instruments   Act   and   sentenced,   as<\/p>\n<p>modified   by   the   appellate   court,   to   undergo   simple   imprisonment   for<\/p>\n<p>one month and to pay a compensation of Rs.2,10,000\/- vide Section<\/p>\n<p>357(3)  Cr.P.C   and  in  default   to undergo  simple   imprisonment  for  six<\/p>\n<p>months.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>       2.     The   counsel   for   the   revision   petitioner   has   only   sought   for<\/p>\n<p>modification   of   sentence   and   for   time   to   pay   the   amount   of<\/p>\n<p>compensation.     In   the   circumstances,   the   sentence   is   modified   to<\/p>\n<p>imprisonment till the rising of the court.   The rest of the sentence  is<\/p>\n<p>confirmed.     The   revision   petitioner   is   granted   six   months   time   from<\/p>\n<p>today onwards to pay the amount of compensation less the amount if<\/p>\n<p>any deposited.  The revision petitioner shall appear before Judicial First<\/p>\n<p>Class Magistrate-II, Kochi on 26.11.2007 to receive sentence.<\/p>\n<p>       The Crl. R.P is disposed of accordingly.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>                                                K.R.
