Initially this petition was filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 Cr.P.C., which has now been treated as a petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C. vide order dated March 9, 2006.\n<\/p>\n<p>2. The petitioner has filed this petition for quashing of FIR No. 86 dated 14.2.2006 registered under Sections 366\/34 IPC at Police Station City, Rohtak, on the complaint made by respondent No. 4-Jaipal Singh alleging that his daughter was kidnapped by petitioner No. 2 in connivance with the other petitioners.\n<\/p>\n<p>3. On August 4, 2006, Meena daughter of Jaipal Singh came present before this Court and made a statement that she has performed the marriage with petitioner No. 2. She further stated that she would make a statement to this effect before the Investigating Officer.\n<\/p>\n<p>4. Counsel for the respondent-State submitted that in view of the aforesid stand taken by the daughter of the complainant, her statement was recorded by the Investigating Officer and after taking into consideration the said statement, the police has prepared the cancellation report which has been approved by the Senior Superintendent of Police and the same is likely to be presented in the Court.\n<\/p>\n<p>5. In view of the said stand taken by the respondent-State, counsel for the petitioners does not want to press this petition at this stage.
