SIRI JAGAN, J.\n                - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -\n                   W.P.(C)No. 15766 of 2010\n                - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -\n            Dated this the 24th day of May, 2010\n\n                          J U D G M E N T\n<\/pre>\n<p>     The petitioner complains that the petitioner is not<\/p>\n<p>being given interim custody of the vehicle seized on<\/p>\n<p>allegation of illegal transportation of river sand.<\/p>\n<p>     2.   I have heard the learned Government Pleader<\/p>\n<p>also.\n<\/p>\n<p>     3.   The principles regarding grant of interim custody<\/p>\n<p>of vehicles have been laid down by this Court in the decision<\/p>\n<p>in <a href=\"\/doc\/318558\/\">District Collector, Malappuram v. Abdul Kasim<\/a> [2010 (1)<\/p>\n<p>KLT SN 31 (C.No.38)].\n<\/p>\n<p>     4.   In the above circumstances, this writ petition is<\/p>\n<p>dispose of with the following directions:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>     The 2nd respondent shall get the value of the<\/p>\n<p>     vehicle assessed by a competent officer and give<\/p>\n<p>     interim custody of the vehicle in terms of the<\/p>\n<p>     conditions laid down in the above said decision<\/p>\n<p>W.P.(C)No. 15766 of 2010<br \/>\n<span class=\"hidden_text\">                               -2-<\/span><\/p>\n<p>     within two weeks from the date of receipt of a<\/p>\n<p>     certified copy of this judgment.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>                                         S.
