Justice V.RAMKUMAR\n\n Dated :23\/01\/2008\n\n O R D E R\n                       V.RAMKUMAR, J.\n                   = = = = = = = = = = =\n                    Crl.M.C.No 308 of 2008\n                  = = = = = = = = = = = = = =\n           Dated this the 23rd day of January, 2008\n\n                            O R D E R\n<\/pre>\n<p>     The petitioners are the accused in C.C.No. 358 of 2002 on<\/p>\n<p>the file of J.F.C.M-I, Kozhikode for an offence punishable under<\/p>\n<p>Section 498A IPC.\n<\/p>\n<p>     2. In light of the subsequent settlement of the dispute<\/p>\n<p>between the marital partners, the petitioners have approached<\/p>\n<p>this Court for quashing the said proceedings by invoking the<\/p>\n<p>powers under Section 482 Cr.P.C. The learned counsel for the<\/p>\n<p>1st respondent\/wife also admitted that the matrimonial dispute<\/p>\n<p>between the marital partners have subsequently been settled.<\/p>\n<p>Having regard to the resolution of the disputes between the<\/p>\n<p>marital partners, continuance of the criminal prosecution against<\/p>\n<p>the petitioners is an avoidable irritant.<\/p>\n<p>     3.
