Campus, New Delhi - 110067\n                        Web: www.cic.gov.in Tel No: 26161997\n                                                           Case No. CIC\/SS\/A\/2011\/000444\nName of Appellant                          :        Mr. Jai Parkash\nName of Respondent                         :        Ministry of Rural Development,\n                                                    New Delhi.\n                                               ORDER\n<\/pre>\n<p>        The Commission has received an appeal dated 11.2.2011 from Mr. Jai Parkash u\/s 18 of<br \/>\nthe RTI Act, 2005, against Ministry of Rural Development, New Delhi for deemed refusal to his<br \/>\nRTI request dated 13.11.2010 and first appeal dated 8.1.2011.\n<\/p>\n<p>2.      In order to avoid multiple proceedings under sections 19 and 18 of the RTI Act, viz.,<br \/>\ncomplaints and appeals, this case is remitted to CPIO, Ministry of Rural Development, New Delhi<br \/>\n(along with copy of appeal and RTI-request), with the following directions:\n<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>        (i)      In case no reply has been given by CPIO to the Appellant to his RTI-request<br \/>\n                 dated 13.11.2010, CPIO should furnish a reply to the Appellant within two<br \/>\n                 weeks of receipt of this order.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>        (ii)      In case CPIO has already given a reply to the Appellant in the matter, he should<br \/>\n                 furnish a copy of his reply to the Appellant within one week of receipt of this<br \/>\n                 order.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>        (iii)    CPIO should invariably indicate to the Appellant the name and address of the 1st<br \/>\n                 Appellate Authority, before whom the Appellant can file first-appeal, if any.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>3.      In case the Appellant is not satisfied with the reply received from CPIO, he, under section<br \/>\n19(1) of the RTI Act, may within the time prescribed, file his first-appeal before the Appellate<br \/>\nAuthority (AA).\n<\/p>\n<p>4.      On receipt of the first appeal from the petitioner as per the above directions, AA should<br \/>\ndispose of the appeal within the period stipulated in the RTI Act.\n<\/p>\n<p>5.
