Whether any policy has been framed by the transport department for the retention of vehicle<br \/>\n       numbers and interchange of vehicle numbers?\n<\/p>\n<p>   2. Copy of the policy, if any, framed by the department be given and also clarify whether this has<br \/>\n       been uploaded in the department&#8217;s website?\n<\/p>\n<p>   3. What is the fees and procedure for interchange and retention of numbers and to whom this power<br \/>\n       has been delegated?\n<\/p>\n<p>   3 a. Time taken by the department for interchange\/retention?\n<\/p>\n<p>   4. Number of interchange\/retention made during the period made during the period January 2010 to<br \/>\n       June 2010 with complete details of thereof be given?\n<\/p>\n<p>Reply of the PIO:\n<\/p>\n<p>   1. Retention of vehicle number and interchange of number have been allowed in pursuance of<br \/>\n       Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, GOI letter dated 9th feb. 2010.\n<\/p>\n<p>   2. Motor vehicle owners are allowed to retain the registration mark of his old vehicle on a new<br \/>\n       vehicle owned in his name after the sale or scrapping of old vehicle subject to condition that the<br \/>\n       old vehicle should be in his ownership for the last two years. In cases where old vehicle has not<br \/>\n       been scrapped, a new registration mark will be given to the old vehicle to make it eligible to ply on<br \/>\n       road.\n<\/p>\n<p>   3. Separate fee for the retention of the number is not charged. However fee for issue of new RC will<br \/>\n       be charged. Transport commission is competent authority to approve the application and MLO<br \/>\n       Mall Road has been authorized to generate RC after completing the due procedure.<br \/>\n   3 a. Not prescribed.\n<\/p>\n<p>   4. List attached.\n<\/p>\n<p>Grounds of First Appeal:\n<\/p>\n<p>Incorrect information furnished regarding Q. No. 1 &amp; 2.<br \/>\n Order of the FAA:\n<\/p>\n<p>The FAA provided the information to the appellant during the hearing.\n<\/p>\n<p>Ground of the Second Appeal:\n<\/p>\n<p>Not satisfied with the information provided by the PIO and also not satisfied with the orders of the FAA.\n<\/p>\n<p>Relevant Facts emerging during Hearing:\n<\/p>\n<p>The following were present:\n<\/p>\n<p>Appellant : Absent;\n<\/p>\n<p>Respondent : Mr. R.
