BASANT, J.\n                 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -\n                 Crl.M.C.No. 4429 of 2008\n                 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -\n           Dated this the 18th day of November, 2008\n\n                              O R D E R\n<\/pre>\n<p>      The petitioner, who faces indictment in a prosecution for<\/p>\n<p>the offence punishable under Sections 55(a) of the Kerala Abkari<\/p>\n<p>Act;   who has not been arrested or released on bail            so far;<\/p>\n<p>against whom cognizance has been taken on the basis of the final<\/p>\n<p>report and committal proceedings registered before the learned<\/p>\n<p>Magistrate; against whom coercive processes have been issued<\/p>\n<p>by the learned Magistrate to procure his presence in the<\/p>\n<p>committal proceedings and who              apprehends imminent arrest<\/p>\n<p>has now come to this Court with this petition under Section 482<\/p>\n<p>Cr.P.C. with a prayer that direction may be issued to ensure that<\/p>\n<p>the dicta in <a href=\"\/doc\/1516775\/\">Alice George v. Dy.S.P. of Police<\/a> (2003 (1) KLT<\/p>\n<p>339) and <a href=\"\/doc\/1158859\/\">Sukumari v. State of Kerala<\/a> (2001 (1) KLT 22) are<\/p>\n<p>complied with and that the petitioner&#8217;s application for regular<\/p>\n<p>bail is considered on merits, in accordance with law and<\/p>\n<p>expeditiously &#8211; on the date of surrender itself.<\/p>\n<p>Crl.M.C.No. 4429 of 2008<br \/>\n<span class=\"hidden_text\">                                     2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>      2. I am not persuaded to agree that any special or specific<\/p>\n<p>direction deserves to be issued.     Sufficient general directions have<\/p>\n<p>already been issued by this Court in the decisions cited above. I am<\/p>\n<p>not satisfied that any special or separate direction deserves to be issued<\/p>\n<p>in each case to the learned Magistrate to comply with the directions<\/p>\n<p>already issued. I have no reason to assume that the learned Magistrate<\/p>\n<p>shall not follow the     decisions referred above.      If there be non-<\/p>\n<p>compliance, the avenues of challenge\/complaint are available to the<\/p>\n<p>petitioner.\n<\/p>\n<p>      4. This application is dismissed, but with the above specific<\/p>\n<p>observations.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>                                               (R.
